Rundown BC Box to Rustic Beauty

Our clients have a large family that grew up in the same community – and they are all now finding their way back as adults with families of their own back to capturing the country style of living they valued in their childhood. They all are working toward setting up homes of their own on the same street.

When our client found this BC box, his family’s plans went into action and it required a full scale renovation. Tied into the wood industry, locally sourced timbers and hand stained shingles were key in the exterior design of the home. While the deck looks imposing, it is rarely empty on a weekend, full of friends and family enjoying time together even in our wet climate.

On the inside, it feels light and open with loads of attention to detail with extensive finishing carpentry work, and tile work recalling a more heritage feel.

White washed by hand, the penny gap in the entry is the perfect welcome to this renovated and revitalized BC box!
