Sandpiper Resort Woodland Cabins

In partnership with Keltic Canada, we are honored to present The Woodland Cabins to the Sandpiper Resort in Harrison Mills, BC. A series of nature-inspired cabins showcasing a heightened focus on the resort’s transition from the historical heritage-based roots of Rowena’s Inn on the River to the future Japanese Onsen inspired development plans. Onsen, which in Japanese means ‘hot spring’ or ‘a resort developed around a hot spring’ is the energy that was harnessed during the design of new cabins, which is brought to life with elements such as:

– Polished concrete floor complete with in-floor heat
– Zero-threshold walk in shower complete with custom tile base and surround
– Free-standing soaker tub complete with custom cedar tub caddie
– Vaulted tongue & groove ceiling
– Custom vertical batten headboard
– Automated opening skylight and blackout blinds in master suite
– Private Zen garden complete with water feature, LED lights, and custom CNC privacy panels
– Tile fireplace surround complete with milled Fir mantle repurposed from workshop rafters demolished during site preparation for this project
– Custom faux firewood brackets
– Custom solid timber coffee tables milled from a Grand Fir felled during site preparation for this project
– 15′ wide Grandview multi-slide patio doors (10′ wide opening)
– Automated privacy/bug screens on patio doors
– Locally sourced Cedar Ofuro soaker tub fed with on-demand hot water
– Finished concrete deck sawcut with tile pattern
– Aluminum and glass railings complete with privacy tinting
– Air conditioning and circulation via ductless heat pump system
– Triple-pane, tilt and turn windows

Truly, no stone left was unturned during the design and construction process of this new cabin series. Tasked with the objective of enhancing the overall guest experience, adding amenities to the resort and embracing the conceptual transition of the resort – these cabins certainly delivered – and the orders are already coming in from other clients for personal cabins!
